UPDATED 04/08/2024
Your 1099 forms were sent out via email at the end of January. As a courtesy, they were sent out again the first part of April.
PLEASE NOTE: Even though a new copy is on the way, you do not need to wait for a new copy of your 1099 or DELAY any of your tax filings or deadlines!
As a Self-employed/Independent Contractor, you do not need a 1099 in order to file your taxes. Also, you are not required to send a copy of your Form 1099 with your tax filing.
There is no need to panic, wait, or delay, even though another copy is being sent out to you this week. All contractors, whether foreign or domestic, have access to view the amounts deposited by Apex in their personal bank statements or downloads.
To view PA payouts, log in to your Apex user account and access the amounts paid out to you during the 2023 tax year, under the “Request Payout” tab for PA Payout amounts. For Affiliates, log in to the Affiliate section of your back end user account, to see your Affiliate Commissions.
The amount you see when logging into your Apex PA or Affiliate user areas will be the amount to use in filing your returns. This is the same amount shown on the 1099, which was sent out at the end of January, or the first week of February, or any amended version thereof coming to you.
The only amounts not shown in the user area would be any Affiliate or PA Contest amounts you may have received. Please keep that in mind and review your records if you were involved in any of those contests or bonuses.
“Taxpayers must report any income even if they did not receive their 1099 form. However, taxpayers do not need to send the 1099 form to the IRS when they file their taxes. In other words, the IRS receives the 1099, containing the taxpayer's Social Security number, from the issuer or payer.” …. (Apex being the issuer or payer.)
Your Form 1099 will show as emailed from:
Apex Trader Funding Inc.
2028 E Ben White Blvd Ste 240-9873
Austin, Tx 78741
EIN: 87-1952262
FOR FOREIGN OR OVERSEAS MEMBERS : If you selected you are not a US Citizen and are not subject to Federal Income Tax in the United States (W8 Status), you will not receive a 1099 Tax Form from Apex, nor any other income statement or taxation documents.
It is the responsibility of each foreign person to report income and file required paperwork and taxes in their own governing country or principality, according to local laws. Apex will send no tax forms, except to those persons who selected US Taxpayer status per W9 requirements.
As an Independent Contractor, you can determine the amount paid out to you for the 2023 tax year by referring to deposits in your account, or in your Apex account are as outlined below.
For All US Taxable Affiliate payments and PA payouts for 2023.
All 1099s were sent at the end of January to our accounting firm for processing. At the end of January or the first of February, the accounting firm emailed them directly to the email you have on file with Apex with instructions on how to access the 1099 information.
Please check your inbox, as well as your spam folder, for an email from noreply@taxbandits.com.
Most of our members have received this email and have their 1099s, although some may have missed or deleted these emails without realizing their significance.
The Accounting firm is resending these emails again this week and will send out twice over the next seven (7) days. Remember to double-check before deleting any emails, including those in your spam folder.
Please do not submit tickets to the Apex Help Desk regarding the schedule of these follow up emails. They are not sending out these emails. As we receive notification of email blasts, we will provide updates on this page.
Even if you have already received your 1099 email earlier this year, please make sure to check for this additional email. You may be receiving an “amended” version with updated and accurate amounts. Please use this amount for all filings.
The 1099 from the accounting firm for Apex in tax year 2023 will encompass payments made via ACH, Plane, Deel, wire, or other services. Please be sure to check for any amendments showing all payments.
If you didn't receive a 1099, please double-check that your Apex account has the correct email address and your Social Security or Tax ID number is entered accurately.
There have been multiple cases of incorrect or incomplete Tax ID numbers that were not accepted by the IRS online filing system. Emails have been sent out to those users to update and correct.
If you realize that the information on your Apex user account profile is incorrect, please update it and notify us so we can resend and resubmit.
Once again, the 1099 emails will be sent out this week, so please check your email and spam box. Keep in mind that the second and third round courtesy emails will be sent from noreply@taxbandits.com.
Thank You and Happy Trading,
Apex Support
