Restricted Countries
Traders from over 100 countries can participate in the services offered by Apex Trader Funding!
Unfortunately, there are specific reasons why Apex Trader Funding cannot offer trading services in certain banned countries. These reasons include, but are not limited to:
- Sanctions or Embargoes: We comply with international laws restricting financial services to certain countries due to sanctions or embargoes.
- Service Limitations by Providers: Certain brokers, trading platforms, or data providers may be unable to operate in specific regions. We cannot provide full access to live trading accounts without their services.
- Increased Fraud Risk: Countries with higher levels of fraud, such as credit card fraud, identity theft, or online scams, pose significant challenges for secure trading. This also applies to countries with foreign credit card spending restrictions, which can disrupt recurring payments and compliance standards for account ownership.
- Language and Training Barriers: Apex strives to offer high-quality education and support. In some countries, language differences or lack of region-specific support can hinder our ability to provide the desired service level we aim for.
- Possible Exceptions: If you are originally from a restricted country but currently live and work in a non-restricted country, you may be eligible to trade with Apex Trader Funding. To qualify, your primary residence, address, and bank account must be based in a non-restricted country. These details will be verified during the registration process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. As long as these criteria are met, you are welcome to participate in our programs.
While these factors currently prevent us from servicing these areas with a trading account, we are still able to offer the possibility of becoming an affiliate with Apex. We look forward to expanding in the future. As we grow, we hope to offer support, educational resources, and dedicated teams for more languages and regions.

Can Canadians Trade With Apex?
Yes! Canadian traders can fully utilize our services. However, please note that as a Canadian, you cannot purchase a LIVE account with Tradovate. Instead, you can access their services through Apex accounts. This allows you to benefit from our funding solutions, as Apex accounts—both Evaluation and Performance Accounts (PAs)—are simulated rather than live trading accounts.
Can I Trade Personal and Live Accounts at the Same Time?
Absolutely! If you are using NinjaTrader 8, you have the option to purchase the Apex Investing Trade Copier. This tool allows you to trade both accounts at the same time.
Code of Conduct, Tax Information, and Legal Procedures
At Apex Trader Funding, we prioritize a professional and responsible partnership with our traders. This article outlines our expectations for conduct, tax reporting, and administrative steps to create a smooth experience as you progress through our Evaluation Account process and, eventually, to live funded accounts.
Code of Conduct: Upholding Professionalism
Trader Funding is a partnership, and as with any business venture, choosing the right partner is essential. Our Evaluation Account isn’t merely a test of your trading skills; it’s an assessment of your overall suitability as a partner. This includes your ability to:
• Exhibit professionalism toward staff, other traders, and Apex Trader Funding as a company.
• Follow procedures, demonstrate effort, and take training seriously.
• Act as a self-starter, show problem-solving skills, and handle the pressures of a live market.
• Maintain plans for backups and troubleshooting to protect risk capital.
Think of it as if you were funding a trader yourself. You’d want someone committed to understanding the platform, displaying respect and professionalism, and making an effort to succeed. Apex’s Code of Conduct is straightforward, and adhering to it ensures a productive and successful partnership.
Tax Information for Independent Contractors: 1099-NEC Forms and Reporting
During the first quarter after the end of a tax year, Apex Trader Funding will send out all Form 1099-NECs, providing tax information for the previous year. Emails containing your Form 1099-NEC are sent from noreply@taxbandits.com. Please check your inbox, spam, or trash folders.
Important Points:
• Filing Without a 1099: Independent contractors do not need a 1099 to file taxes. The IRS receives these forms directly from Apex, and you are only responsible for reporting all income, which can be verified through your bank statements and Apex account records.
• PA and Affiliate Payouts: Log into your Apex user account under the “Request Payout” tab to view your payout history. For affiliates, check your commissions in the Affiliate section. Note that contest or bonus amounts may not appear here, so verify any additional income separately.
• Amended 1099s: If you receive an amended 1099, use this for tax filing. Additional emails will be sent from noreply@taxbandits.com with updated information if needed.
For foreign or overseas members with W8 status, you won’t receive a 1099 form. You’re responsible for reporting income according to the tax laws in your own country. You are responsible for tracking your own subscription invoices and payouts via your Apex Trader Funding dashboard or email receipts and Plane statements.
Paperwork Requirements and Verification
After passing the evaluation, a simple e-sign contract will be sent, taking only a few minutes to complete. These contracts are system-generated, and we cannot send blank copies. You need to download your own contract before submitting your signature.
There are no credit checks, background checks, or asset requirements for opening an Evaluation or PA account. However, before transitioning to a live-funded account, standard paperwork and identity verification are required, similar to setting up a brokerage account. Please sign up with your full legal name, as we reserve the right to verify your identity.
Non-Compete Agreement
Traders are welcome to trade with other firms while participating in Apex Trader Funding’s programs; however, adhering to the copy trading rules outlined in our PA Contract is essential. These rules prohibit any form of account mirroring or duplication from other traders across multiple firms that violate our consistency and integrity standards. This ensures that all trading activity remains authentic, non-replicative, and compliant with Apex's policies. Traders must maintain distinct and independent trading practices on Apex accounts to preserve the fairness and transparency of our funding solutions.
What If the Company Ceases Operations?
In the unlikely event that Apex Trader Funding closes, the government would disburse the remaining funds, similar to procedures with any other broker. Although we are approved by NinjaTrader and use our funds to fund our live accounts, we recommend that traders periodically withdraw profits.
